Customer Challenge
Portacon, specialist in sliding, folding, and industrial doors, was still operating on an outdated Magento 1 webshop. During the transition to a new webshop, Portacon wanted to seize the opportunity to automate processes, particularly around order intake. Previously, all webshop orders were manually entered into SAP Business One — a time-consuming and error-prone process.
The wish: a future-proof, automated environment in which customer data, inventory, orders, and product information are seamlessly exchanged between systems.

Conneqt realized a robust integration between Magento 2 (developed by Rik Willems) and SAP Business One, the ERP system of Portacon, with Aiden involved as the SAP partner.
The connection enables automatic synchronization of:
Orders (from Magento to SAP)
Order statuses (from SAP to Magento)
Customers and addresses (from SAP to Magento)
Inventory levels (from SAP to Magento)
Product information (from SAP to Magento)
In close collaboration with Portacon, much attention was paid to detail. During several substantive sessions, customization was set up to ensure the process aligned precisely with Portacon's working methods. This careful alignment was essential for the success of the project.

The integration has now processed more than 1000 webshop orders completely automatically. Where previously employees had to manually enter data, Portacon now saves 30 to 40% FTE in the order department.
This time is now smartly utilized: to improve product content, better support customers, and make the webshop more professional.
